MEP Project ManagerMortenson is seeking a MEP Project Manager to lead and direct MEP-dominant projects or MEP scopes on medium to large projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and safety, while mentoring the project team and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service.This position offers opportunities at both levels 1 and 2, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications.
Compensation for this role is determined based on factors such as experience and location.Responsibilities:Manage overall financial health of projectsDevelop and maintain project financial and equipment projectionsAllocate project estimate into financial system, determine cost codes, approve invoices, manage budgetProvide financials and billings to Accounting for timely payment, create monthly owner billingsOversee budget and select trade partners and suppliers, handle billings and contract managementOversee 3-D coordination process to resolve conflicts before installationDirect and manage commissioning process, including start-up plan, COT, schedule, and functional testingLead project closeout activities, including operations and maintenance manuals, model turnover, and trainingManage Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s), provide job assignments, career development, and feedbackFunction as main contact with owner and on-site representative, resolve site concerns, build positive relationshipsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field experienceCurrent driver's licenseAbility to manage development to closeout responsibilities for complex projectsDetail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasksBasic understanding of construction law and business practicesIntermediate skills in Microsoft Office, project, and relevant web applicationsPositive, professional attitude with strong customer service skillsAbility to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesActive listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedbackAbility to travel up to 100%Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action plansMEP Project Manager IMinimum six years of construction management experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical ContractorThe base pay range for this role is $113,500 Min - $170,300 MaxMEP Project Manager IIMinimum seven years construction management experience, preferably experience with a Mechanical or Electrical ContractorThe base pay range for this role is $132,100 Min - $198,200 Max(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
