VDC Department Manager – Mechanical Construction
We are seeking an experienced VDC Department Manager to lead our Virtual Design & Construction team supporting large-scale commercial mechanical projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems, BIM/VDC coordination, and leading high-performing teams. This role is responsible for managing VDC operations, driving project coordination, implementing best practices, and collaborating with project management, field operations, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the VDC team
- Oversee BIM modeling, clash detection, and coordination
- Support commercial HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects
- Standardize VDC processes and improve workflows
- Coordinate with project teams, owners, architects, and trade partners
- Ensure project schedules, quality, and deliverables are met
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of mechanical construction and VDC experience
- Proven leadership experience managing teams
- Expertise in Revit, Navisworks, and BIM coordination
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
