Mental Health Therapist Supervisor

Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting for a Mental Health Therapist Supervisor in Southgate, Michigan. Job Description:

- Provide clinical oversight and supervision to mental health therapists within the organization

- Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions to support the professional development of therapists

- Monitor and evaluate the quality of therapy services provided by the team

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards in mental health therapy

- Collaborate with other team members to provide comprehensive care to clients

Essential Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field

- Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LPC, LMSW, LLP)

- Previous experience providing therapy services to individuals with mental health concerns

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Desired Experience:

- Previous experience in a supervisory role preferred

- Experience working with diverse populations and age groups

- Knowledge of evidence-based therapy modalities and interventions

Responsibilities:

- Provide standard and clinical supervision to staff members

- Manage and process crisis situations with program staff and clients

- Maintain electronic medical record training and assist staff

- Review treatment records and provide direction for documentation improvement

- Manage staff and department within span of control

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committee meetings

- Supervise case program consultations with staff

- Maintain compliance with program requirements and staff credentials

- Attend meetings, conferences, and trainings in the community

- Assist clinical staff in utilizing data from electronic medical records

- Assess community needs and assign priorities for service delivery

- Collaborate with inter-departmental groups to ensure program administration

- Complete required documentation, referrals, and paperwork

- Conduct regular staff meetings and keep records

- Provide day-to-day supervision of staff

- Act as a liaison and participate in agency committees

- Complete annual program and position-specific training

- Ensure funding requirements and budgetary guidelines are met

- Abide by and support Person Centered Planning guidelines

- Follow professional code of ethics

- Perform other duties as assigned
