Embracing Wellness PLLC is a Black woman-owned, trauma-informed, holistic therapy practice serving clients across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. We specialize in culturally responsive mental health care with a focus on supporting BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, immigrant, and marginalized communities.

Role Description

This is a full or part-time remote role for a Therapist at Embracing Wellness PLLC. The therapist will :

  • Provide high-quality, trauma-informed virtual psychotherapy.
  • Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation in SimplePractice (EHR).
  • Use standardized measures to track client progress as clinically indicated.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and case consultation.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, PMHNPs, PCPs, and community providers.
  • Contribute to practice-wide quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Active licensure in DC, MD, and/or VA.
  • Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology.
  • Trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive.
  • Experience with BIPOC, immigrant, LGBTQIA+ communities preferred.
  • Comfortable with telehealth & technology.
  • Demonstrated history of strong professional accountability, punctuality, and respect for scheduling commitments.
  • Capacity for autonomous, professional judgment, and predictable communication under pressure.
  • Committed to ethical, anti-oppressive care.
  • Successful background & reference check required.
  • Competitive hourly pay (starting at $50/hr for pre-licensed).
