What You'll Do
- Conduct mental health screenings and assessments based on records review and clinical interviews
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans for inmates
- Document all treatment and evaluation activities accurately in health records
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information at all times
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of psychological counseling theories and techniques
- Provide mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions
- Collaborate with facility staff to address the mental health needs of inmates
What You Need
Required:
- Valid driver's license
- Social Security Card for facility clearance
- Relevant mental health licensure or certification (state-specific)
- Prior experience in mental health treatment or counseling
Preferred:
- Experience working in correctional or similar settings
- Knowledge of inpatient mental health treatment protocols
