BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a Mental Health Technician I to join our outstanding and compassionate team at Winter Haven Hospital- Behavioral Health !

Mental Health Technician I Position Details:

• Facility: Winter Haven Behavioral Health

• Location: Winter Haven , FL

• Status: Full time, Hourly

• Shift Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

• Weekend Work: Every Other

• On Call: No

Responsibilities:

The Mental Health Technician I Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct Supervision of a Registered Nurse.

• Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.

• Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.

• Assists with physical care under the direction of an RN.

Requirements:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• High School or Equivalent

• FL Driver's License

• Preferred - Associate's in Healthcare/Psychology

• Preferred - CNA/PCT

Preferred Experience:

• 6 months - Psychology
