We’re looking for a warm, organized Story Curator to help us collect, format, and publish these timeless stories from our readers.
What You’ll Do
- Review and organize reader‑submitted stories and memory pieces
- Lightly edit submissions for grammar, clarity, and tone while preserving voice
- Select standout pieces and schedule them for publication in our Memory Lane section
- Work with our editorial and design team to match stories with vintage images or themed headers
- Coordinate with the Community Engagement Manager to encourage more submissions
What We’re Looking For
- Love for nostalgia and personal storytelling
- Experience with editing, curating, or publishing reader submissions
- Empathy and respect for preserving contributors’ unique voices
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Bonus: background in senior outreach, oral history, or journalism
Compensation
$20–$30/hour depending on experience, or open to volunteers passionate about memory preservation. Estimated 4–6 hours/month to start.
