Melting & Casting Production Supervisor

Production SupervisorWe are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead operations within our Melting & Casting department. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities, supporting a strong safety culture, developing production employees, and ensuring operational goals are achieved.The ideal candidate will bring hands-on manufacturing leadership experience, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to drive performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect daily operations within the Melting & Casting production area.Lead and support production employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes.Foster a workplace culture centered on safety, accountability, and teamwork.Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to hourly team members.Monitor workflow and production schedules to ensure customer demands and delivery targets are met.Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and equipment utilization.Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to troubleshoot operational issues and minimize downtime.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and process optimization.Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental requirements, and operational procedures.QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience leading manufacturing or production teams.Experience in metals manufacturing environments strongly preferred, including melting, casting, foundry operations, aluminum, copper, steel, forging, rolling, extrusion, or other heavy industrial settings.Proven ability to manage and motivate teams in a fast-paced production environment.Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, root cause problem solving, and workplace safety programs.Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.What Success Looks LikeThe successful candidate will help drive:Outstanding safety performanceConsistent product qualityIncreased productivity and operational efficiencyStrong employee engagement and developmentContinuous improvement across manufacturing operationsThis is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader who enjoys developing people, improving processes, and contributing to a high-performing production environment.
