Medium Voltage Journeyman (Electrician)

Traveling Medium Voltage Electrician (15/35 kV) - Data Center

Pay : $48-$60 per hour + Overtime + $1,250 Weekly Per Diem Job

Location: Memphis, TN

Project: Large-Scale AI Data Center Construction Schedule: Monday-Saturday, 12-hour shifts Optional Sundays

GL Staffing Services is hiring experienced Medium Voltage Electricians for a major AI data center construction project in Memphis, Tennessee.

We welcome qualified electrical professionals from Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and other states who are willing to travel or temporarily relocate.

Compensation

Journeyman 1: $48-$52/hr

Journeyman 2: $52-$56/hr

Journeyman 3: $56-$60/hr

$1,250 weekly per diem for eligible traveling employees

Overtime available

Double pay on eligible holidays

Job Responsibilities

Install, splice, and terminate 15 kV and 35 kV medium-voltage cable.

Perform heat-shrink, cold-shrink, and molded terminations.

Install and work with medium-voltage switchgear, GSUs, cable pulls, and duct banks.

Support hipot and VLF testing.

Perform work under switching and clearance procedures.

Follow all applicable electrical safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

Hands-on experience with 15 kV and/or 35 kV systems.

Experience performing 415/480 V work alone does not qualify.

Previous termination experience with 15/35 kV systems.

Current OSHA training.

Knowledge of NFPA 70E and lockout/tagout procedures.

Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.

Ability to meet project background screening requirements.

Applicable electrical licensing or credentials.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with switching and clearance procedures.

E-house, GSU, or hipot/VLF testing experience. Previous utility, substation, renewable energy, or data center construction experience.
