Certified Medication Assistant (QMAP) Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Administer medications according to physician orders, facility policies, and applicable regulations.

Verify medications, dosages, routes, and administration times before giving medications.
-
Document medication administration, refusals, and omissions accurately.
-
Observe and report adverse reactions or changes in patient/resident condition.

Maintain proper medication storage, security, and accountability.

Communicate medication-related concerns to nursing staff and supervisors.
-
Maintain patient/resident safety, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.

Follow infection control procedures, safety guidelines, and medication regulations.
-
Perform duties only within the QMAP’s authorized scope of practice.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Current, valid, and unrestricted CO license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

Minimum of 1 year/s of recent experience as a QMAP within the last 3 years.

Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,...)
