This is a great opportunity to be part of a new and growing role that focuses on resident-centered care, safety, and independence.If you're dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoy working with older adults, we encourage you to apply.Position SummaryThe Medication Aide assists residents in our Assisted Living Program (ALP) with the self-administration of medications in accordance with New York State regulations and individualized service plans. This role supports resident safety, dignity, and independence while working under the direction of licensed nursing staff.What You'll DoAssist residents with self-administration of medications per service plansFollow MAR/eMAR documentation and medication assistance proceduresObserve and report changes in condition, side effects, or refusalsDocument assistance accurately and timelyEnsure proper medication storage and safety practicesPromote resident independence, dignity, and privacyCollaborate with nurses, aides, and the care teamParticipate in required training and quality initiativesImportant Scope of RoleNo medication administrationNo clinical assessments or nursing judgmentNo interpretation of physician ordersAll work performed under licensed nursing supervisionQualificationsRequired:High school diploma or equivalentMust be at least 18 years of ageSuccessful completion of Hultquist Place's in-house medication assistance training program, including demonstrated competency, is required prior to independent assignment and will be provided upon hireAbility to follow instructions and communicate effectivelyStrong attention to detail and reliabilityPreferred:1-3 years of experience with medication assistanceExperience in assisted living, long-term care, or healthcareExperience working with older adultsSchedulePart-Time, 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM)Regular schedule includes every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday), totaling two weekend shifts per bi-weekly pay periodHoliday rotation required based on department needsOpportunities to pick up additional shifts based on your availabilityPay & Benefits$17.00 – $18.50/hour (based on experience)This is a part-time position and is not benefit-eligible.
