Medicare Benefits AdvisorImmediate need for a talented Medicare Benefits Advisor. This is a 03-04 months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Portland, Oregon (Remote).Key Responsibilities:Support our sales force during one of our heaviest seasons of business (September through December)Conduct open enrollment meetings to explain health benefit choicesAssist the full time sales team onsite at seminars and eventsComfortable in front of groups answering questions about health insuranceMajority of meetings are 3 hours a dayWilling to work flexible hours to support the annual effortHealth care experience or demonstrated knowledge is a plusNew on-call sales staff will go through training before shadowing Sales Executives out in the fieldReliable transportation is a mustTravel is involved, primarily to support seminars in the service areasPartially remote with in-person attendance required for seminarsSchedules will be shared one week in advance10-15 calls per day to assist members with questionsNot a sales role, more of a marketing support function, assisting the sales teamSupport the sales team by explaining health plan options to membersAssist at sales seminars to educate and inform prospective and existing members about Client's health plan optionsProvide accurate information on benefits and pricing, assisting members in understanding their health insurance optionsSupport the sales executives in the field, but the candidate will not be responsible for making salesKey Requirements and Technology Experience:High School Diploma required2 years of experience in healthcare or a similar background is preferredProficiency in Microsoft Suite (MS Word, Excel, etc.) is necessarySales background is preferred but not requiredStrong communication skills are essential, with an emphasis on asking questions to provide effective supportFlexibility to handle both in-person and phone communicationComfort in presenting to groupsAbility to assist members effectively over the phoneAdaptability to changing schedules and responsibilities
