Key responsibilities Resolve insurance denials and underpayments by analyzing contracts and billing discrepancies Call healthcare insurance companies to address contract or payment issues and submit necessary appeals Mentor junior associates and support team collaboration to enhance operational efficiency Required qualifications 5+ years of hospital billing experience with a focus on follow-up Advanced knowledge of Medicare payer rules and processes Experience with UB04 facility pricing and reimbursement variances Proficient in using Medicare Direct Data Entry (DDE) for claim adjustments Bachelor's or associate degree preferred
