We are seeking a Medical Technologist to perform laboratory tests and procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Performing tests, calibrations, and proficiency testing
- Documenting QC and corrective actions
- Entering and verifying results in the LIS
- Assisting with training and resolving technical issues
- Reviewing test results for accuracy and consistency
- Managing supply inventories and participating in professional development
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related sciences
- NYS Clinical Laboratory Technician License or eligibility within 6 months
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience, internship completion, and certifications like ASCP or NCA
Physical demands include: manual dexterity, standing, walking, lifting up to 30 pounds, and visual acuity.
Work environment: exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, and laboratory conditions.
