Responsibilities

• Receive direction from the Lab Manager, Regional Director, and Laboratory Medical Director, working cooperatively with Administration, Physicians, Allied Health Staff, patients, and residents.
• Perform analyses on biological specimens, such as blood and urine, to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating patients.
• Participate in operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
• Commit to a two‑year tenure in this position.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology (MT), Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), or Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS); or a bachelor’s degree plus a certification in MLS, CLS, or MT recognized by NAACLS.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program or U.S. military Medical Laboratory‑training program.

Skills

• Experience working in a medical field.
• Moderate to advanced computer skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing workloads.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy certification.
• Willingness to travel to other MCHS locations for assignments as needed.

Schedule

• Part Time.
• Primary shift: 10‑hour weekend day shift, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Microbiology).
• Occasional 8‑hour weekday evening shift, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM.
• Every 3rd holiday rotation.
• Minimum of one weekend off per month.

Compensation

Pay range: $32.43 – $48.66 for MT; $26.52 – $39.32 per hour for MLT.
