Description

• Perform laboratory technical procedures according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers to ensure proper functionality
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents and control
• Perform and document maintenance and quality control procedures on analyzers
• Identify and replenish testing supplies as necessary
• Assist with phlebotomy and processing when needed
• Answer phone calls, maintain logs/records, and maintain computerized databases.
• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Maintain a safe work environment including wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• NYS License required

Bachelors or better.

Experience

Required

Minimum 4 years of hospital lab experience in New York State
