Medical Surgical Unit - Registered Nurse - $2,220 per week

Overview

Medical Surgical Unit – Registered Nurse – travel assignment. Estimated pay: $2,220 per week.

This position is a travel/temporary role with a focus on medical-surgical patient care. Floating to multiple units may be required. Local candidates are not eligible for submission.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for Medical-Surgical patients per physician orders and established standards of care.
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage related clinical situations (telemetry experience helpful).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
• Follow facility protocols for patient safety, documentation, and quality improvement.
• Assist with procedures and diagnoses as needed; participate in rounds and care planning.

Qualifications

• 12 months of role experience required, with some in the last 12 months; at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 6 months within the past 6 months.
• Maine license or compact license required for submission.
• Must be willing to float to multiple units; travel-only role (local not allowed); candidates must live >50 miles from the facility.
• Flu vaccination required for submission (medical declinations accepted).
• 1 reference from the last 2 years (Manager/Supervisor) required for submission; pre-employment modules may be required.

Unit/Facility Details

37-bed unit with high turnover to accommodate the surgical population. Ultrasound IV Team available 7am–10pm; IV assistance available as needed.
