Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: - Will need to be able to read and interpret telemetry.
Preferred Skills/Experience: - Experience in telemetry preferred.
Special Requests: - An interview may not be available prior to offer. - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. - Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. - Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year.
Unit Details: - Common diagnoses and patient types include surgical cases such as total hip and knee replacement, small bowel resection, hysterectomy, and exploratory laparotomy; medical cases including MRSA, C. difficile infections, suicide attempts, drug or alcohol withdrawal, COPD, pneumonia, and COVID-19; and telemetry patients with chest pain. - When no nursing assistant is available, the RN takes 3 patients and provides primary care. - Care for stable CPAP or BiPAP patients. - Remote monitor technicians are available on the unit. - Must be willing to care for both MST/PCU patients. - Must be willing to precept nursing students.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend, Friday and Saturday for night shifts. - Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly. - If low census, staff rotates standby turns. Travelers may or may not be in rotation for low census depending on contract.
Floating Requirements: - The clinician is first to float. - Float into the Multi Care Unit and Pediatric Unit to care for adult MST patients, and also float to the West Campus MedSurg Tele unit.
Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
