The staff RN is a professional care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environment, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration necessary for the care of patients ranging from adult through geriatric.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree, Diploma or Baccalaureate Degree program in Nursing preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Have a current licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or compact state. BLS required. ACLS preferred.
Experience & Knowledge: Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development necessary for assessment, range of treatment and care of patients ranging from adult through geriatrics. Knowledge of hospital and department policies and procedures, patient care procedures, and the ability to operate technical equipment as acquired through orientation
