Jobot is seeking an IMC Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to adult patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting. In this role, you will perform comprehensive assessments, manage complex med-surg conditions, and administer medications, IV therapies, and post-op care while documenting thoroughly in the EMR. You’ll collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, educate patients and families, and support safe discharges. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to adult inpatients across varied conditions and acuity levels.
- Perform ongoing patient assessment, vital monitoring, and timely documentation in the EMR.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with provider orders and hospital protocols.
- Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and case managers to execute and update individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions to support safe transitions of care.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring accurate handoffs and continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, escalating concerns and intervening in emergencies.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice on the medical-surgical unit.
- Mentor and support nursing colleagues and ancillary staff to foster a collaborative care environment.
