Medical Science Liaison - Southern California

The Field Medical Director is a field-based professional with scientific, clinical and therapeutic area expertise responsible for providing medical and scientific support for Organon’s Dermatology programs. Territory includes Southern CA, NV and HI.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, develop and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with HCPs, professional organizations, patient advocacy groups, payers, decision makers and other key stakeholders.
• Maintain clinical, scientific and technical expertise in dermatology.
• Present data and conduct balanced peer-to-peer scientific dialogue on Organon’s products consistent with company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate on development/implementation of the scientific communication plan, medical-to-medical materials, and research (including investigator-initiated trials and investigator selection/site performance/recruitment with Clinical Development).
• Assist with scientific training for Commercial and other internal colleagues using approved materials.
• Provide scientific expertise for speaker training and advisory boards as requested.
• Represent Organon at national and regional medical meetings; support Medical Information booth activities as needed.
• Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information while following policies and procedures.

Required/Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, PA or equivalent education.
• 5 years clinical practice and/or pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Dermatology or Allergy/Immunology experience preferred.
• Strong relationship-building with HCPs/decision makers/organizations.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills (one-on-one and group; senior stakeholders).
• Demonstrated ability to develop and drive scientific engagement goals.
• Knowledge of clinical research methodologies; ability to evaluate and translate scientific material credibly.
• Travel up to ~50%.
• Self-starter; works in fast-paced environments; manages multiple programs; works independently; can overcome ambiguity.
