Our holistic model also extends assistance to shelter, energy, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling, home visits, and mobile medical/dental clinics.Position Highlights:$18.45-$22.60/hour DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates.Additional pay for your bilingual skills, paid on hours workedWhat You'll Do:Answers the phone, transfers calls and takes messages as needed for the clinicGreet patients and maintain patient and visitor logs.
Notifies the appropriate person of the patient's arrival. Provides translation services as needed to patientsEnsures accurate and complete data and forms are collected for all patients. Creates and maintains patient charts, registering new patients and updating patient data in the computerSchedules patient appointments according to scheduling guidelines, appointment type, and time needed. Notifies appropriate Provider of all patient no-shows and cancellations.
Adjusts and updates the schedule for cancellations, new patients and recall appointmentsVerifies patient's insurance eligibility and obtains and files insurance documentation. Assist patients with questions regarding insurance plans as neededReviews and responds to patients' questions in person, via phone, and patient portal systemsMay perform routine billing functions such as posting patient encounters, encouraging payment, taking payments and generating end-of-day reportsReviews cash box receipts and reconciles the cash box dailyPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or GEDOne year's experience as a Receptionist in a clinic preferredThis position is eligible for Bilingual Differential Compensation when an ALTA score of 9 is achievedBilingual (English/Spanish) speaking skills required at a level 9Ability to prioritize work and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, with frequent interruptionsAbility to interact with patients, Providers, and staff in a professional mannerAbility to deliver outstanding customer serviceBasic knowledge of medical terminology desiredBasic knowledge of healthcare billing insurance desiredBasic proficiency with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelOur Mission Statement"Together we transform our communities through compassionate, individualized care, eliminating barriers to health and well-being."Our mission celebrates inclusivity.
