POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Medical Publications, is responsible for the timely and efficient development and submission of manuscripts, abstracts, and meeting presentations in support of assigned products. Reporting to the Senior Director, Medical Writing Global Regulatory Affairs, this role leads the end-to-end execution of publication tactics in accordance with company SOPs, and GPP guidelines. incumbent serves as the publications subject matter expert for the assigned therapeutic area, partners cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, HEOR, and external authors, and helps translate scientific data into a coherent body of peer-reviewed and congress-facing evidence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the execution of publication tactics (e.g., manuscripts, abstracts, posters, oral presentations) across the product portfolio consistent with SOP
- Implement appropriate publication strategy and provide ideas for generating publications to fill clinical, economic, health outcomes, quality of life and scientific knowledge gaps
- Facilitate strategic discussions/decisions related to publication planning and execution
- Serve as the Publication subject matter expert for the Therapeutic Area product(s) and maintain expertise in TA/Product scientific data, industry-related information, and evolution of disease state
- Support the development of scientific communications strategy and planning for oncology assets
- Contribute to the development of scientific content for congress medical communication activities.
- Develop expertise in disease area of focus through continuous surveillance of the medical and scientific literature for relevant publications and lead development of monthly literature updates.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MS, or PhD in a Life Science or a PharmD required
- At least 4 years’ publication & scientific affairs experience in Pharma.
- Proficiency in scientific literature searches, analysis, and evaluation.
- Understanding of industry regulations and guidelines governing publications and medical communications (eg, FDA, OIG, GPP3, ICJME).
- Minimum of 3 years of people management experience, including direct supervision of employees and/or leadership of contractors, vendors,

- Strong planning and organizational skills to prioritize projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
