Diabetes & Endocrine Specialists (DES) is a multi-site specialty practice with an integrated clinical research unit, devoted exclusively to the care of adults with diabetes and complex endocrine disorders.

Patients and referring physicians across the region rely on us for care that goes well beyond a typical endocrine office: interventional endocrinology, including office-based thyroid radiofrequency ablation; an on-site clinical research program; DEXA; and comprehensive diabetes technology programs for CGM and insulin pumps. Position Purpose & Focus

We are hiring an an experienced Practice Manager.

The Practice Manager is the senior operational leader of the practice and is responsible for its business, financial, operational, and personnel performance. The Practice Manager works as the Physician Owner’s primary operational partner, oversees all non-clinical operations, and is expected to be visible and hands-on across all locations.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


1) Physician Partnership

•     Serve as the Physician Owner’s primary operational partner on budgeting, staffing, practice growth, and operational priorities.

•     Provide regular operational, financial, and staffing reports with clear recommendations to support decision-making.

•     Lead projects and initiatives that improve operations and support the practice’s growth.


2) Operations Management

•     Direct day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient workflows, timely patient access, operational consistency, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, OSHA, and related requirements).

•     Manage facilities, equipment, vendors, and administrative functions across all practice locations.

•     Oversee patient experience and service standards, including timely resolution of patient concerns and continuous improvement.


3) Multi-Site Leadership

•     Provide leadership and operational oversight across all practice locations, ensuring consistent standards, processes, and performance.

•     Directly supervise Clinic Supervisors and oversee all clinical and administrative staff.

•     Partner with clinic leadership to drive operational effectiveness, staff engagement, and patient care excellence.


4) People Leadership

•     Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, develop, and retain high-performing clinical and administrative team members.

•     Conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing feedback, and manage employee performance and development.

•     Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional patient service.


5) Financial & Revenue Cycle Management

•     Develop and manage the annual operating budget; monitor financial performance and recommend improvements.

•     Track key financial and operational metrics, including collections, labor costs, operating expenses, and provider productivity.

•     Oversee revenue cycle performance, including charge capture, collections, denials, accounts receivable, and reimbursement trends; work closely with the billing team to identify and resolve issues early.

•     Oversee provider credentialing and coordinate payer contracting and reimbursement matters with outside specialists as needed.

•     Evaluate staffing models, resource allocation, and service expansion opportunities, and present analyses and recommendations to the Physician Owner.


6) Ancillary Services Oversight

•     Provide operational oversight for ancillary service lines, including DEXA BMD, Clinical Research Operations (in partnership with the research manager), Diabetes Technology, Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM), and Insulin Pump Programs.

•     Monitor program performance, operational effectiveness, and growth opportunities in support of quality patient outcomes and business objectives.

•     Perform other duties and special projects as assigned in support of practice operations and goals.

Minimum Qualifications

•     High school diploma or equivalent.

•     5+ years of progressive medical practice management experience.

•     3+ years of healthcare leadership experience.

•     Multi-provider practice management experience.

•     Working knowledge of medical billing, coding, and the revenue cycle.

•     EMR and Practice Management System proficiency.

•     Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.


Preferred Qualifications

•     Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field.

•     Endocrinology or other specialty practice experience.

•     Multi-site management experience.

•     Process improvement or project management experience.


 Compensation & Benefits

•     Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
