Medical Oncologist - Brighton, CO

Platte Valley Medical Center is a 98‑bed Level III Trauma Center located in Brighton, a growing community of about 38,000 people only 30 minutes from Denver.

Our Cancer Center at Platte Valley Medical Center is part of a larger group of centers across our 4 hospitals in the Denver area. You will be a member of a team of seven oncologists collaborating across sites to care for patients, but based at Platte Valley Medical Center.

The site has 2 exam rooms, 12 infusion chairs, and a supportive team: Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, 9 RNs (clinic and infusion), Medical Assistant, Registered Dietician, Social Worker, Clinical Pharmacist, Tech, Financial Advocate, and front‑office staff.

Highlights of this employed solo practice

• Clinic hours Monday–Friday 8 am – 5 pm. Oncologists work 40 hours on a 4‑day week.
• On‑call approximately 1:6 for all locations, including Good Samaritan Medical Center, Platte Valley Medical Center, Lutheran Medical Center, and Saint Joseph Hospital.
• Call is typically very light.
• Robust clinical trials infrastructure, enabling participation in cutting‑edge trials as part of an integrated cancer research program.
• Future growth: additional 0.5 FTE for this location.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation plan includes a salary of $576,015 plus a wRVU production incentive. Calls are paid out from the first call shift at $450/weeknight and $1,890/weekend. A $25,000 sign‑on bonus and relocation bonus are also available to qualified candidates. Paid time off, license reimbursement, malpractice insurance coverage, and an annual CME allowance are among the comprehensive benefits.

What You'll Bring

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school.
• Unrestricted physician license in Colorado or ability to obtain one.
• Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology.
• American Board certification or eligibility in the designated discipline.
