Presbyterian Medical Group is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Hematology/Oncology trained physician to join their Cancer Care Program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This full-time role involves diagnosing and treating cancer and blood disorders in adults, utilizing various therapies and collaborating with a supportive care team. - 60% Oncology / 40% Hematology
- 80% office, 10% inpatient, 10% admin
- Member of the New Mexico Cancer Care Alliance for clinical trials
- Systemwide Epic (EMR) system
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat cancer in adults using chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biological therapy, and targeted therapy
- Diagnose and treat blood disorders
- Order and oversee diagnostic testing in alignment with NCCN guidelines
- Prescribe treatment and supportive medications
- Collaborate with the care team to include palliative care, psychology, social work, PT, OT, Speech, dietician, nursing, research to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Oversee care provided by Advanced Practice Clinicians, as required by provider licensure
- Participate in process improvement which drives standard of care across the continuum
- Participation in tumor board(s) is required

- Clinic hours M - F 8 -5
- Wednesday and Thursday Tumor Board
- Call frequency: 7 weeks per year
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. with fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology
- BC/BE Medical Oncology and Hematology
- NM Medical License
- Demonstration of CARES behaviors and the practice of collaborative care
- 3-5 years minimum experience preferred
