I’m a recruiter, and I’m hiring for a national civil defense firm that’s been doing defense work for decades.

They grow when the work justifies it. Maryland med mal justifies it.

The pay runs in three bands.

$115,000 to $150,000 at 3 to 7 years.

$140,000 to $200,000 at 8 to 15.

$180,000 to $225,000 and beyond at partner level. Origination and bonus come into it.

Hybrid. Flexible schedules. You and the firm work out the week.

What you’d defend

• Medical malpractice claims, from the first expert certificate to trial.
• Some general liability and professional liability work alongside, if you want the variety.
• Clients from household name corporations to individuals.

What you bring

• A JD and an active Maryland license.
• Medical malpractice defense experience at whatever level you’re at.
