Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) FT (Florence, SC)

Job Description

Perform a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic medical lab tests as requested by healthcare staff according to established protocols and procedures. Prepare specimens for microscopic examination or testing procedures. Operate automated laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Perform quality control and assurance procedures. Record lab results in the specified system. Follow all required HIPAA privacy, safety, and biohazard procedures and standards.

Education

Graduate of an accredited/NAACLS approved program for Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).

Certification

ASCP, AMT, NCA, or HEW required. Must be certified within 1 year.

Experience

One to two years’ experience working in an accredited laboratory preferred; new graduates will be considered.
