Other benefits include employer pension matching, shift differential, incentive/premium pay, free annual biometric screening and paid volunteer time off.RiverView is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.ResponsibilitiesMedical Lab TechnicianLocation: Crookston LabSchedule: .8 fte / 64 hours every 2 weeks- working every third weekend and holiday rotationPay Range: $22.18 - 31.06/hr (based on experience)Job Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly, Benefitted positionEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testingFollows standard operating procedures for MLS/MLTsEnsures laboratory safety, quality and regulatory requirements are metRecognizes safety hazards and complies with all safety practices and protocolsCollects and processes lab specimens with proper equipmentPerforms clinical laboratory testing, including manual and automated methodsCollect and manage samples of blood and other fluids from patientsQualificationsMinimums:Possess a national certification for Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through an approved Health and Human Services (HHS) agency, for example American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or be registry eligible.

Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) also acceptable.Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 6 months of employment.Required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
