We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to serve in a senior or lead-level capacity within our Core Laboratory. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, proven leadership experience, and a deep understanding of laboratory operations. This role plays a critical part in overseeing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining quality standards, and supporting staff development and training.

Required Certifications & Experience

  • Current MLS (ASCP) cm certification (required)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Core Laboratory operations in a reputable hospital setting
  • Prior second‑ or third‑shift supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Previous Lead or Supervisory experience required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of daily Core Laboratory operations , ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance
  • Supervise and support laboratory personnel, including performance monitoring, and mentorship
  • Oversee Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) programs to ensure compliance with CLIA and CAP standards
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations

Suggested Baseline Qualifications (Per ASCP Standards)

Applicants must meet one of the ASCP eligibility routes through education, training, and experience.

Eligibility Routes

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Successful completion of a NAACLS-accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist program within the past five (5) years
  • NAACLS training remains valid for five years from the date of completion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced laboratory environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Core Lab instrumentation and workflow optimization
  • Experience with regulatory inspections and compliance management
  • Moderate to high pace with frequent interaction with laboratory and technical staff
  • Exposure to biological specimens and laboratory chemicals in compliance with safety protocols
