Varying shifts are available, including rotating or set schedules, and rotating holidays. Available shifts include day shift, evening shift, and night shift. We focus on providing the best possible customer service. Flexible schedules, such as, working four (4) 10-hour shifts or five (5) 8-hour shifts per week may be available. No on-call requirements.Minimum QualificationsNational certification as MT/CLS/MLS with ASCP, AAB or AMT, including immunohematologyBachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory, Chemical, or Biological ScienceFamiliarity with blood bankingClinical laboratory training program or three years of pertinent clinical laboratory experience with a minimum of six months in the transfusion service or Immunohematology Reference LabSBB(ASCP) or BB(ASCP) preferredIntangibles With This PositionOpportunity to take advantage of LifeSouth's accredited SBB training programGain experience in an AABB accredited Immunohematology Reference LaboratoryOpportunity to learn and continue to improve skillsResponsibilities Include (but not limited to)Follow established policies and proceduresIdentify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either correct the problems or immediately notify a supervisor, manager, or directorDocument all corrective action taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specificationsExercise professional judgment in evaluation, specimen integrity, results accuracy, and inter-result validity, and take corrective action as necessaryThis is a full time position.
