Medical Lab Technician - Per Diem

Stoughton Health Medical Lab TechnicianStoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Medical Lab Technician to join our team on a Per-Diem basis. The Medical Lab Technician is responsible for specimen collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical laboratory results in accordance with established standards.Essential Functions:Collection of blood and other specimens from adult, pediatric, and infant patients in accordance with hospital proceduresPerforms clerical duties for the LaboratoryPerforms skilled laboratory procedures, operates all equipment, and reports results in accordance with established policies and proceduresParticipates in the implementation of the quality assurance programsAbility to lift 25 lbs.Position Requirements:Required Education: Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory TechnicianLicensure: Current MLT, CLT, ASCP CertificationCertification: Current BLS at hireComputer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position.Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Intermediate Skills – Able to perform fairly detailed formatting, create Word and Excel files, write formulas and prepare charts for reportsWork Shift:Per Diem,.01 FTEMinimum of 2 shifts per monthBenefits:403(b) retirement planEmployee assistance programsFree On Campus ParkingWork Environment: This position is an in-person position at the Stoughton Hospital location.
