Job Description
Vitalant is hiring experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our specialty blood component manufacturing/high complexity testing reference laboratories. Responsibilities
- Perform production, processing, and labeling of blood components and blood donations.
- Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.
- Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in biology, Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in approved Science (Biology, Chemistry, etc) and currently possess certification from an accredited agency (ASCP).
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, medical technology or clinical laboratory science required or equivalent education, training.
- State licensure as required by CA regulations.
Licenses / Certifications
- California State licensure required
- ASCP Certification Preferred
Experience
- 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist
- 5 years or more experience as Medical Laboratory Technician
- 1-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist/educational requirements
- 5 years or more experience for the Medical Laboratory Technician.
