To ensure timely collection of outstanding healthcare insurance receivables, the full-time Medical Insurance Accounts Receivable Specialist will verify patient eligibility, update insurance information, and conduct research on unpaid claims while working remotely. Key responsibilities Verifies patient eligibility and authorization for healthcare services and updates patient demographics in relevant systems Conducts research on unpaid or denied claims and communicates with payers to secure payments Follows compliance guidelines and prepares claims for clinical audit processing when necessary Required qualifications High school diploma or GED At least three years of experience in healthcare insurance accounts receivable follow-up Experience identifying billing errors and resubmitting claims Knowledge of accounts receivable practices and third-party payer billing procedures Demonstrated ability to navigate accounts receivable software and Microsoft Office applications
