Medical Information Specialist

• Greet patients and families in a professional and friendly manner, both in person and over the phone.
• Accurately obtain and verify patient and insurance information, entering it into the registration system.
• Schedule patient appointments, including return visits, referrals, and diagnostic testing/procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED; Associate degree preferred for Specialist level.
• For Specialist: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical practice or similar healthcare role.
• For Associate: 6 months to 1 year of customer service experience with the public.
• Proficient in typing, Windows, and experience with multiple computer systems.
• Remote position with hours as needed, up to 16 hours per week, 8a-5p.
• PRN status, meaning as needed scheduling.
• Must be vaccinated for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella, and receive annual flu vaccine (or approved exemption).
