Medical Imaging Tech - Radiology/Radiologic Technologist
Seeking a Travel Radiologic Technologist with at least 2 years of experience to perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of radiologists and departmental leadership. The technologist ensures patient safety and comfort while adhering to New York State radiation safety codes. Candidates must have Epic EMR experience, ARRT certification, and a valid NY State registration or limited permit.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures as directed by physicians
- Adhere to NY Department of Health Code Part 16 for radiation safety
- Evaluate images for technical quality and positioning
- Maintain accurate patient records in Epic
- Assist with patient care and ensure a safe, positive imaging experience
- Stay current with imaging technologies and support teaching initiatives
Skills & Requirements
Certifications:
- ARRT Certification – Required upon hire
- NYS License or Limited Permit – Required upon hire
- BLS (AHA) – Required upon hire
Education:
- Associate Degree in Applied Science or Diploma in X-Ray – Required
- Graduate of an approved academic imaging program – Required
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in Radiologic Technology – Required
- Prior hospital or acute care experience – Preferred
