Medical Geneticist

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is seeking a medical geneticist to join its rapidly expanding Division of Clinical Genetics. This role offers an academic appointment and the opportunity to contribute to a comprehensive genetics service, including pediatric, adult, cancer, and metabolic genetics. • Part of the Division of Clinical Genetics, which encompasses pediatric genetics, adult genetics, cancer genetics, and metabolic genetics
• Designated New York State Clinic of Inborn Metabolic Disorders
• In-patient Genetics Consultative Service
• Collaborative clinical programs including Ocular Genetics and Craniofacial Genetics
• Robust education programs for a variety of trainees
• Ongoing research efforts, including gene therapy and clinical interventional trials

Compensation

• Compensation: $230,000
• Academic appointment at the Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor level commensurate with experience
• Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience, and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries
• Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent degree
• BC/BE in Medical Genetics (Clinical Genetics and/or Clinical Biochemical Genetics)
• Eligible for licensure in the State of New York
