The New York State Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) is seeking Board-Certified Physicians to perform Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) for referred claimants. This role involves conducting objective specialty-based evaluations, reviewing records, preparing defensible reports, and providing testimony when required.
Responsibilities
Conduct specialty-specific IMEs
Review medical records, imaging, and treatment history
Perform objective clinical assessments
Prepare detailed IME reports
Submit documentation within required timelines
Provide expert testimony when required
Maintain HIPAA and OSC compliance standards
Qualifications
MD or DO
Active New York State medical license
Board Certified in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Orthopedic Surgery
Minimum 5 years clinical experience
IME / disability / forensic experience preferred
Ability to provide sworn testimony
Clean disciplinary record
Medical Examiner in New York City at Priority Group Services
