Medical Editor
Adds reference annotations to final PDFs of promotional materials for OPDP submission. Highlights and back-annotates corresponding references for OPDP submission. Supplies missing reference annotations and/or references. Completes multiple projects under extremely tight deadlines. Helps proofread package inserts, medication guides, brief summaries, and other labeling documents. Translates complex medical information into patient-friendly language.
Skills and Knowledge
- Required:
- Well versed in Adobe Acrobat Professional
- Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical LMR review process
- Ability to focus on detailed, repetitious tasks for long periods
- Flexibility in meeting strict deadlines
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to hyperlink references in Adobe Acrobat
- Preferred:
- Knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology and federal regulations governing pharmaceutical advertising
- Experience in writing and/or editing professional promotional, med ed, or related materials
- Pharma ad agency experience
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in English/journalism/mass communications or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years of referencing submissions for LMR and/or OPDP review
- Minimum 5 years of proofreading experience, preferably in the medical/pharmaceutical field
