Medical Director, School Based Health Centers

The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center is seeking a Medical Director for its School Based Health Centers. This role involves overseeing the operations of the School-Based Health Center program and ensuring medical services align with MSAHC's mission and strategic direction. The Medical Director will also direct medical and mental health staff activities, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices in adolescent medicine.

Responsibilities

• Direct outpatient care at School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs) and MSAHC, and provide inpatient coverage at Mount Sinai.
• Provide coverage for school-based health center physicians and mid-level practitioners during staff absences.
• Ensure effective and efficient operation of MSAHC SBHCs and integration of interdisciplinary services.
• Supervise the overall development, management, and evaluation of the SBHC medical practice, including physicians and mid-level practitioners.
• Evaluate provider performance annually and conduct semiannual OPPE for all clinical staff.
• Develop and implement changes to existing medical care protocols consistent with adolescent health medical practice standards.
• Implement quality assurance mechanisms and monitor the quality of medical care services.
• Represent SBHC providers' perspectives in program development, policies, procedures, and staff development.

Compensation

• Compensation range from $175,000 to $190,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).

Requirements

• MD Degree with Board Certification in Adolescent Medicine.
• Minimum of 5 years of combined clinical/administrative experience (preferred).
