Position: Medical Director – Psychiatrist

Compensation

$275,000–$300,000 annually

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, efficiency, and management of service delivery within the facility
• Define protocols and assist in decision‑making regarding medical and clinical care of patients
• Provide direct patient care and support other departments with physician interactions
• Directly supervise medical, clinical, administrative, and support staff
• Serve as liaison between medical staff, facility staff, corporate staff, and organizational leadership
• Monitor and supervise staff adherence to established medical and clinical policies
• Provide backup call coverage
• Teach and develop training programs for personnel
• Obtain physical exams, patient histories, and request diagnostic testing, evaluations, and medications
• Manage behavioral and mental health treatment, maintaining accurate records per federal, state, and institutional regulations
• Oversee facility finances, including budgets, billing, and spending
• Develop organizational goals, strategies, and policies to achieve objectives
• Approve, implement, and update general policies, protocols, and procedures of the facility

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified in Psychiatry
• Previous experience as a Medical Director preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Current, unrestricted medical license in the practicing state
• Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions, in accordance with state regulations
