Medical Director - Pituitary and Neuro-Endocrinology Program

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a senior assistant or associate professor to serve as Medical Director of the Pituitary and Neuro-Endocrinology Program at Mount Sinai Hospital. This role involves co-leading the center with a neurosurgical director, with a primary objective to develop the existing Mount Sinai Pituitary Care Research Center into a "Pituitary Center of Excellence." The successful candidate will provide high-quality care for diverse patient populations, focusing on neuroendocrine conditions, and will contribute to educating endocrinology fellows and medical residents.

• Join an established team of 20 physicians and a multi-disciplinary team comprised of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, registered dieticians, and certified diabetes educators.
• The Division at Mount Sinai Hospital is an integral part of the renowned Mount Sinai Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Bone Diseases as well as the Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism Institute.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and develop the existing Mount Sinai Pituitary Care Research Center into a "Pituitary Center of Excellence" in collaboration with neurosurgeons.
• Develop a clinical practice at the Neurosurgery and Endocrine Faculty practice, to care for patients with pituitary disorders and general endocrine disorders.
• Participate in the division on-call rotation and provide Endocrine inpatient care on a consultation basis as scheduled.
• Participate in clinically based quality improvement initiatives set by the Division, Department of Medicine, and Mount Sinai Health system.
• Assist with educational training of clinical fellows.
• Direct all educational activities in the area of pituitary diseases, including monthly multidisciplinary pituitary conferences, student lectures, and case discussions.
• Participate in research and grant activities.
• Maintain all necessary licensing and certifications for clinical practice, including required continuous medical education (CME) credits, and actively participate in academic activities by attending Grand Rounds and other conferences on a weekly basis.

Compensation

• Compensation ranges from $239,000 to $267,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).

Requirements

• Medical Degree from an Accredited University.
