Valley Health System is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Neurologist to serve as Medical Director of the Pediatric Neurology Program. Practice Info
- The Pediatric Neurology program provides consultation and other professional services as part of the Valley Medical Group in northern New Jersey.
- The Kireker Center for Child Development (KCCD) offers a broad spectrum of services, including speech, physical, and occupational therapy, with a complete audiology service available on-site.
- Part of a larger multi-specialty group including experienced providers in Endocrinology, Developmental Pediatrics, Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine, Food Allergy, Cardiology, and PM&R.
- Collaboration with the Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital and the Mount Sinai Health System.
- Academic appointments at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital are possible based on previous academic ranking and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical expertise in pediatric neurology care at the Valley Hospital and the Kireker Center for Child Development (KCCD).
- Provide consultation and education for clinicians, clients, and interested community groups.
- Help support broader community-based services for special needs populations.
- Participate in Department of Pediatrics activities, Kireker Center for Child Development (KCCD), and Hospital Committee meetings as deemed appropriate by the Chair.
- Provide outreach to interested community groups, including schools, childcare programs, parent groups, and other programs.
- Work collaboratively with the PM&R and Developmental Pediatrics team to help build a program.
Compensation
- Competitive compensation models including a minimum starting salary ranging between $250,000 to $270,000 with generous productivity incentives with an opportunity to grow uncapped.

Requirements
- MD/DO or equivalent degree.
- Board certified in Pediatric Neurology.
- Existing or Eligibility for New Jersey Medical License, DEA, and CDS required.
- Maintains CME credit hours as required for Board Certification and/or hospital staff privileges.
- Ability to work collaboratively with our PM&R and Developmental Pediatrics team and help build a program.
- Experience in EEG interpretation (a plus).
- Experience and/or an interest in the management of patients with autism and other pervasive developmental disorders.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills for both clinical and non-clinical audiences, in group settings or one-on-one.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to advance and develop a superior clinical service.
- Ability to foster a respectful, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
