Qualifications (Education and Experience)
MD or DO with at least two years of clinical psychiatric supervisory experience. Board-certified in Psychiatry with an active license in Pennsylvania.
- Outpatient and child psychiatric experience preferred.
Salary
Minimum starting salary $300,000.00. Salary may be higher based on experience.
Essential Job Duties
- The Medical Director is responsible for the overall operation of the agency psychiatric team in tandem with Program Leadership, including but not limited to:
- Daily management of prescribing staff.
- Collaborative agreements with CRNPs and/or PAs on staff.
- Maintaining a clinical caseload.
- Performing psychiatric evaluation and medication management for Outpatient Departments.
- Ensuring clinical supervision is available during all operational hours.
- Participating in strategic planning initiatives.
- Providing clinical trainings to all clinical staff.
- Participating in the peer review processes and quality assurance initiatives.
- Maintaining regular meetings with prescriber staff to discuss clinical cases, treatment plans, policies and procedures.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for the operation of the psychiatric outpatient clinic.
- Ensuring compliance with OMHSAS standards and recovery-oriented care principles.
- Overseeing the employment, supervision and discharge of clinical staff according to established personnel policies.
- Performing related duties as required/assigned by the CEO.
Physical Requirements
- This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting, sitting on the floor or performing other work requiring low physical exertion, ability to move quickly in a crisis situation, talking and hearing on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 80% of the time.
