Medical Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology

Somnia Anesthesia is seeking a Medical Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology to lead a dynamic team in Stockton, CA. This leadership position involves partnering with Nursing and OB leadership within a regional referral/high-acuity program at a leading academic hospital system with Magnet nursing designation. Practice Info

• Regional referral/high-acuity program

• 2 Obstetric Operating Rooms
• 8-10 Labor & Delivery Rooms
• 3,000+ deliveries annually
• Level III NICU (30 beds)

Responsibilities

• Lead a dynamic, collegial team of anesthesiologists
• Partner with Nursing and OB leadership
• Primary Assignment to Obstetrics with periodic rotation to cover the main OR and NORA environments
• Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and hospital leadership
• Participate in monthly QI, QC, and PI safety committees and obstetrical and perinatal committee meetings

Compensation

• $575K Annual Stipend
• Up to $3,000 annually for CME
• $50,000 commencement bonus
• Relocation assistance/allowance up to $10,000 for out-of-state or out-of-area candidates *receipts required
• Referral bonus of up to $5,000 if a referred colleague is hired

Requirements

• Active state license
• BC/BE in Anesthesiology
• Obstetrical anesthesia experience required
• Demonstrated leadership experience preferred
• Experience working in a high-acuity obstetric environment
• ACLS
• BLS
• DEA
