Medical Director, Hospitalist

AdventHealth is seeking a dynamic and hardworking board-certified Family or Internal Medicine physician to serve as a Medical Director. This role involves joining an existing inpatient practice affiliated with the Allopathic Family Medicine residency, focusing on a clinical-only capacity. The Medical Director will play a key leadership role in ensuring excellence in quality, safety, patient experience, best practices, and productivity within the Internal Medicine group.

Responsibilities

• Create excellence in quality, safety, patient experience, best practices, and productivity within the Internal Medicine group
• Support the recruitment of physicians and advanced practice providers
• Develop and support the Hospitalist Inpatient onboarding process
• Promote and mentor physician leadership within the team
• Work with the Executive Medical Director to set the goals and objectives of the internal medicine department

Requirements

• Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (ABMS) is required
• Minimum two years clinical experience
• Leadership experience including areas such as medical staff leadership, department leadership, or quality and safety leadership highly preferred
• Experience in hospitalist medicine is ideal
• Strong communication skills are ideal
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
