Description
Valley Health System, in affiliation with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, is recruiting a Medical Director of the Developmental Pediatrics Program. The program provides consultation and other professional services as part of the Valley Medical Group and Valley‑Mount Sinai Children’s Health Service line in northern New Jersey. The Director will lead a team—including a physician, nurse practitioner, and social workers—to provide clinical expertise in early childhood development, behavioral, and psychosocial issues at the Kireker Center for Child Development (KCCD). The KCCD offers a broad spectrum of services, including speech, physical, occupational, and audiology therapies.
The physician in this role will participate in Department of Pediatrics activities, KCCD activities, Hospital Committee meetings, and outreach to community groups. Academic appointments at the Icahn School of Medicine are possible based on prior academic ranking and productivity. Clinical requirements include the ability to complete a comprehensive neurodevelopmental/neurobehavioral evaluation, including a pertinent medical history for pediatric patients, perform developmental/behavioral assessments, and provide patient care management.
Position is located at Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ—less than 15 miles from Manhattan.

Qualifications
- An MD/DO or equivalent degree
- Board certified in Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities
- Existing or eligibility for New Jersey Medical License, DEA and CDS required
- Maintains CME credit hours as required for Board Certification and/or hospital staff privileges

Compensation range from $204K to $219K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).
