Job title: Medical Director (Psychiatry and Neurology)
Location: Chester IL.
Shift: Standard day shift (M-F) 40 hours a week

Requirements / Qualifications
- Requires a valid State of Illinois Medical License,
- DEA, IL.
- controlled substance license
- Requires American Board Certification in the job-related medical specialty of psychiatry.
- Requires three (3) years of medical administrative experience directing, planning, and evaluating a medical/clinical program.
- Experience working with psychiatric/mental health patients.
Duties include
- Serves as facility expert on mental health laws, regulations, and trends.
- Represents medical services and programs.
- Serves as manager of medical program operations.
- Serves as Medical Director and as foil-line supervisor which includes union, non-union, and contractual staff
- Assign and reviews work.
- Provides guidance and training to assigned staff.
- Reassigns staff to meet day-to-day operating needs.
- Establishes annual goals and objectives.
- Effectively recommends and imposes discipline, up to and Including discharge.
- Prepares and signs performance evaluations.
- Determines and recommends staffing needs.
- Performs incident Investigation and reporting.
