Medical Director, Academic Outpatient Clinic

St. Vincent's Medical Center, a member of Hartford HealthCare, is seeking a Medical Director for an Academic Outpatient Clinic in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This leadership role involves guiding the outpatient ambulatory curriculum, providing faculty oversight, teaching residents and medical students, and supporting a stimulating academic environment in partnership with an FQHC and the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. The position offers an academic physician the opportunity to shape medical education while maintaining a clinically active practice.

Responsibilities

• Work with FQHC partner to maximize efficiency and lead an Academic Outpatient Clinic
• Guide the outpatient ambulatory curriculum, provide faculty oversight, and support a stimulating environment for residents and students with exposure to scholarly activity
• Teach residents, medical students, and other learners
• Provide oversight of clinic faculty attendings
• Coordinate resident evaluations in the clinic
• Maintain PCP assignments

Requirements

• MD/DO with Board Certification in Internal Medicine
• Unrestricted State of Connecticut medical license (or eligible)
• Minimum of five years of academic experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be eligible for appointment to the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University
• H1B cap-exempt organization
