Medical Biochemical Geneticist

Sanford Health is seeking a BE/BC Medical Biochemical Geneticist or a BE/BC Medical Geneticist with experience in management of biochemical disorders to join their team in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The provider will diagnose, medically treat, and manage individuals with inherited metabolic conditions presenting clinically from infancy through adulthood, offering both direct and consultative care. This position provides opportunities for research, a faculty appointment through the Sanford School of Medicine, and collaboration with an established clinical team.

• Join 3 clinical geneticists, 1 NP, and genetic counselors
• Research opportunities available, if desired
• Pediatric Residency Program, allowing for a faculty appointment through the Sanford School of Medicine
• Academic appointment available through Sanford School of Medicine, commensurate with experience
• Genetic Counseling Program started in 2016 with a joint effort between Sanford Health and Augustana University

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, medically treat and manage individuals with inherited metabolic conditions presenting clinically from infancy through adulthood
• Provide direct care and consultative care for individuals of all ages who are diagnosed with inborn errors of metabolism
